Magento is an open source based ecommerce web application that was launched on March 31, 2008. It was developed by Varien (now Magento Inc) with help from the programmers within the open source community but is owned solely by Magento Inc.. Magento was built using the Zend Framework.[1][2]The Magento Community Edition is the only free version of Magento available. All other versions of Magento are not free.
Go to admin area > Catalog > Manage Products and click on the product the quantity of which you want to modify , Then click on the tab “iinventory‘ under the Product Information block on sidebar and fill the product quantity field “Qty”.
Go to system -> configuration and click on the option “Payment Methods” (sidebar menu) under the main menu “SALES” . You can see the all the payment methods available and you can configure the desired one by clicking on the payment method’s name.
Go to system -> configuration and click on the option “Admin” (sidebar menu) under the main menu “ADVANCED” . Set the value “Yes” to the field “Enable Charts” under the tab “Dashboard”
Go to system -> configuration and click on the option “Shipping Methods” (sidebar menu) under the main category “SALES” . It lists all the shipping methods available . You can configure the method you would like by clicking on the shipping method name .
Go to system -> configuration and click on the option “Shipping Settings” (sidebar menu) under the main category “SALES” . Set the value “Yes” to the field “Allow Shipping to Multiple Addresses”
Go to system -> configuration and click on the option “Shipping Settings” (sidebar menu) under the main category “SALES” . Fill the fields under the tab “Origin”
Go to system -> configuration and click on the option “Shopping cart sidebar” (sidebar menu) under the main category “SALES” . Fill the field Maximum Display Recently Added Item(s) with the number of products you want and save the dat .
Go to system -> configuration and click on the option “Shopping cart sidebar” (sidebar menu) under the main category “SALES” . Assign the value “No” to the field “Display Shopping Cart Sidebart” .
